Summary
Overview
Ponder is an AI video editor you direct the way you would direct a human editor. You import raw footage, add a past video or link to match, and describe the cut. Ponder watches every clip, picks moments, and builds a first cut with captions, graphics and color. You then ask for changes in words, out loud, or by drawing on the frame.
Who it fits
It suits filmmakers, creators and editors with a lot of footage to sort, such as launch films, vlogs, interviews and testimonials. It learns pacing, cuts and caption style from your earlier videos, and it sends the timeline to Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut for finishing.
What the plans include
New accounts get 14 days free with no card. Starter is $29 a month ($24 billed yearly) with 10 hours of footage analysis, Max is $99 ($83 yearly) with 40 hours and priority processing, and Studio is $999 ($833 yearly) for teams, with unlimited footage analysis and five members. Extra usage comes in $35 steps.
Limits and alternatives
Ponder runs in the cloud, so there is no offline mode yet. Cardboard is another editor you direct by chat, and it also works inside ChatGPT and Claude. Eddie AI builds rough cuts that hand off to the big editors, and Descript edits video through its transcript.
