Summary
Overview
Cinema 4D is the 3D app many motion designers pair with After Effects. Maxon’s page lists a built-in MCP server you can switch on, so a compatible AI assistant can operate Cinema 4D’s own tools for repetitive, procedural and iterative tasks. Maxon says every creative decision stays yours. Every subscription also includes Redshift rendering. We didn’t capture current prices.
Using it with an AI assistant
The MCP server is off until you switch it on. Maxon’s Autograph page adds that you can enable MCP in Cinema 4D as well, so one assistant can use both tools at the same time. The MCP claims are Maxon’s; the page does not list which assistants are supported for Cinema 4D, while the Autograph page names Claude and ChatGPT.
