Summary
Overview
Gamma is built for speed: describe what you need and it drafts a deck, document or small site. That helps with first drafts, though you will still want to edit for accuracy and brand. Credits are the limiting factor, and the free plan’s 400 credits do not refill. Details come from Gamma’s pricing and help pages.
Who it fits
Gamma suits marketers and founders who need a first-draft deck, document or small website quickly and are happy to edit afterwards. You give it a prompt or outline and it lays out the content, which saves the blank-page step. It is better suited to quick drafts than to designers who want pixel-level control of every slide, and for people who need unlimited AI use on a low-priced plan.
What the plans include
On Gamma’s pricing page, the Free plan comes with 400 starter credits that do not refill, up to 10 slides per prompt and Gamma branding. Plus ($9 a month per seat billed monthly, lower annually) gives 1,000 monthly credits, removes the branding and allows up to 100 slides per prompt. Pro ($18 a month per seat billed monthly) has 4,000 monthly credits plus API access, custom domains and analytics. Team and Business plans start at 2 and 10 seats, and Business is $40 per seat per month billed annually.
Limits and alternatives
Credits are the constraint: once the free 400 are used they are gone, and every AI generation draws from the balance. You can import PDF and PPTX files and export PDF, PPTX or PNG, so a Gamma draft can be finished in PowerPoint or Google Slides. Beautiful.ai focuses on Smart Slides that auto-format content, Pitch on collaboration and sharing analytics, and Canva on templates across social posts, presentations and video.
